Actually, Jesus as a badass might be the one thing these heretical blasphemers get right. What they either do not and/or refuse to comprehend is, he was a badass only to people like themselves — that is, to the ostentatiously pious who got off on being Better Than All The Rest, at least in their own eyes, and to the religion/state machine of the time by which the Roman occupiers and the religious establishment of the Temple supported each other!
To the people who loaded huge burdens on the backs of ordinary people and lifted not a finger to help them, who barred the entrance to the Kingdom while never going in themselves — to them, Jesus was, and still is, a badass. Not to anyone else that I can see according to the Gospels!
