'Amen and amen' seem pitifully inadequate to express how I feel about this, but nothing else seems…

It is not, I repeat, not to be used to bludgeon others with a Bible verse, scaring them into thinking that God just might zap them with his power and might if they fall out of line or somehow “oppose him” — which in the context it is thrown at me, sure threatens that.
