As an Anglo-Saxon man in his sixties, I don't cry easily but this is bringing tears to my eyes. It looks as if wherever English is the only national language is going mad and, in those countries, we English are turning our backs on nearly everything that has made us a great people contributing to civilization. It's as if we don't want to be part of civilization anymore. Some may question if we ever have been part of civilization, or to what extent.
