I also trust Jesus. But part of being actively engaged means questioning. Which I believe God wants. Yes, He asks for our trust, our faith, but I don't believe God wants us to be blindly obedient robots. We are supposed to love God with our MINDS as well as the rest! This doesn't mean we disobey God but rather we obey with doubts we're willing to work trough with His help. Working through such doubts is essential; running from them will stunt our faith's growth.

And remember what the name 'Israel' (and the church is the expanded Israel, right?) means: He that has striven with God and men and has prevailed.

Hello? God allowed someone to prevail with Him? Yes, I know it's like a toddler in a mock-wrestling with his dad thinking he won, but still, YHWH is alone in allowing that much. Think about that.
