I don't always either, but neither do I let rationalism stifle the miracles either. I believe in the Virgin Birth, but 'ever-virgin' is a bridge too far for me. I do believe Jesus had actual siblings, one of whom the first bishop of Jerusalem's church.

To me, the Cross shows how far God will go to bring us closer to Him. Even that, yes.

Jesus had his bad days, too. His human side needed some convincing to help the Syrophoenician/Canaanite woman (remember?) and cursed a fig tree for not having fruit when it wasn't the season. Guess he may have been a bit 'hangry' then.
