I second Mia! I also have a question or two for you, my good friend.
First, for most whites, white supremacy is sort of like water is to fish. That is, they don’t realize it’s all around them and are indeed discouraged from realizing that very fact, not so?
Second, and related to the first, I’ve read many writers of color say (and I’m not saying they’re wrong; indeed, I have to agree at least partially) that It’s Not Our Job to Wake You Up. OK, it isn’t. I agree on that point.
However, if you’re not part of the Awakening Brigade, it’s likely to take those of us who have, so far as we can, ‘sold’ all our shares in Whiteness, one HELL of a long time to awaken the rest. Does our planet really have that much time? Is there a way a lot of ‘whites’ can be awakened quickly? If you know of such a way, PLEASE share it with the rest of us!!
Finally, regarding a semi-(but increasingly) serious question I asked you some weeks ago, please read these two posts, think about them, and then consider my queries, earlier and latest. Thanks for all you write and your thoughtful consideration of all our questions.
