I'm with you, Sharon. And , Marley, I cannot but agree with you. I'll never forget how full of hope and gratitude my heart felt on Election Night of 2008 and what a disappointment Obama turned out to be to this aging PALEFACE who had hopes that maybe that November 4 would start to correct some things which went really wrong after another November 4 Election Night 28 years before. Even allowing for how much of a Jackie Robinson I knew he'd need to be.
Also, Marley, your article has me asking myself: could our system elect a sort of 'reverse Obama'? That is, someone who would be white and sound 'typical' in public, but behind closed doors and once in office, would be one to break, or at least seriously handicap, systemic white supremacy? What would be necessary for that to happen and what might any backlash be like? Any feedback you might have on this question will be most welcome.
