LBJ's words to a young Bill Moyers:

"If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him someone to look down on and he'll empty his pockets for you."

I deeply appreciate your courage and honesty in writing this. If you can't be a Slavic Marcel Ophuls, maybe you can cultivate the person who becomes that. (Ophuls produced 'The Sorrow And The Pity' about French collaboration with their occupiers)
