Learn a little more about the Arab world and its racism, which has been alive and all too well for fourteen centuries as of this writing. Start with what Brother Eldridge had to say about racism in Algeria, where he lived for seven years. Then google John Azumah Adembillah, who will tell you much about the horrors of the trans-Sahara slave trade — incomparably worse than those of the Atlantic slave trade, which lasted only 25% as long as the trans-Sahara and killed far fewer Africans. Once you do, you — and maybe others — will know that Arabs only pretend to be ‘people of color’ for your benefit and that of those similarly ill-informed, whatever shade their skin is. Actually, they play-act all this for their benefit and no one else’s!
Ask Israelis who have returned from elsewhere in the Middle East. They’ll tell you how ‘peckerwoody’ Arabs can be to those they consider ‘below’ them, especially Jews, who too many Arabs still see as our peckerwoodies see what they call ‘common n***ers’. I’m sure you’ll find more people to back up what I now write; you’re a skilled writer and reporter so you know how many times and people to ask. Educate yourself on this matter, mon ami.
