No, I find it all too true. Each time some fool on TV says ‘we’re better than this’, I want to yell, “No, we’re NOT ‘better than this’! This! Is! Who! We! Fucking ARE!!!”
Only figures like Andrew Zummern give me real hope that somehow, some way, we just might really be ‘better than this’. Other than that, we are a country (not really even a nation) of bullies and cowards — at least this is so for my fellow palefaces! Maybe the oppressed, the people of color , will be the ones to save us all in the end. Time will tell.
