Shawn, my congratulations on keeping yourself embarrassed about these behaviors. This aging pale Anglo-Saxon's response to those behaviors is often flat out RAGE. I especially feel that, as we are at the top of this country's caste system (and let's not kid ourselves; that is what it largely is) we have much more of a responsibility to see that more voices (ESPECIALLY those that sound different from us) are heard, not to make this country our own echo-chamber!
