Show us a civilization with as much criticism of itself within itself as does Western civilization. I'm serious.

Greater Byzantium? Maybe. Sporadic, though.

Islam? You must be kidding. India? Maybe. China? Japan? Pre-Columbian American cultures? Not likely, somehow.

What about Oyo and the empires of Ghana, Mali and Songhai? I doubt it, but show us what you can.

Some say Western Civilization was born out of the tension between Jerusalem and Athens. Maybe such tension between at least two ways of thinking is what's necessary for self-criticism and learning from mistakes. And what civilization incorporates more ways of thinking than the West? Think about it.
