So far as I know, I AM sick and tired of racism, including being 'even outraged about unearned advantage and conferred dominance' and, worse, the 'strange fruit' that our local SS's reap because of them! I certainly am in favor of dismantling the current system. On the other hand, anyone can say it's easy for me to make that claim in the rural area where I live and no (biped) neighbors of color. The 'biped' is because our nearest neighbors are actually Black Anguses. Maybe growing up in a successfully integrated urban neighborhood has something to do with it. While I admit to not wanting to lose whatever 'perks' I have, I see no reason why those 'perks' shouldn't be available to all. But considering our location and the difficulties of moving, and aside from sounding off like in this and other posts, not to mention voting the right way, I'm fairly often at loose ends as to what to do about it.
