I suggest that’s been their driving attitude ever since Spiro Agnanastopoulos (Agnew) opened his mouth and basically said the press had better be toadies to Repiglican administrations (which too much of the press was eager to do when Dr. Ronnie Feelgood or a Bush was in office) or there’d be trouble!
I will never forget the chill that the words of that buddy of the filthy Greek colonels sent up my spine — and back then I was only in eighth grade! The ‘Republicans’ need to be treated as fascisti who must be extirpated from ANY elective or appointed office until and unless they can treat their opponents as equally legitimate as themselves!
