Too true. And may I humbly offer at least one idea of what that means? I suggest it means to be in command of oneself first. Not in pretending to be invulnerable as no human can ever be that, but in knowing oneself and being 'response-able', that is, able to respond honestly and appropriately to the situation in hand. And in knowing the 'weight' of one's words and hands and not seeking to shatter the lowly and struggling but rather at least offering helping words and hands wherever and whenever one can. Here's a link to a post I wrote some years ago on the subject.
