Umair, as regards Liz and Bernie you're missing an important piece: right now. It is of the utmost importance that the Democrats and their allies hold onto every single Senate seat they can. Were Warren or Bernie to be chosen for the Cabinet, the governors of their states (both of whom are REPUBLICAN even if they're not QAnon acolytes) would choose their (admittedly temporary, but still) replacements.
