Umair, there are precious few places in this world that DO value the ‘flourishing of women’, unfortunately. Scandinavia and the rest of ‘civilized’ Europe and Canada don’t come anywhere close to being the whole world!. Even in the rich, developed world — which is, really, the only context in which your post’s title is valid. Take a good, long look around the globe and tell me if I’m mistaken about that. That we in the USA are regressing — and how — no doubt about that, but would it do you any harm to broaden your perspective? Seriously.
