What about moral outrage about doing things that actually DO hurt other humans or other creatures (Outside of humane animal husbandry)? That's why I confess to enjoying a certain measure of schadenfreude about anti-maskers coughing up their Covid-infested lungs even as they still insist it's all a hoax because the Great Orange Julius Caesar (thanks, Joy dear!) said so! And I'll bet good money that more than a few of the doctors and nurses share that feeling, although they're humane and professional enough not to act on or speak from it. And I'd enjoy the same feeling at seeing a meeting of Gun Owners of America shot up by some nutball, for example.
